Flavor of the Week {Crab Rangoon}

As I told you here, my baby sister is engaged and apparently she's on a mission to learn to cook this year while her FI is deployed.  I made these for her once and she requested the recipe so, for my sister, here it is:

Crab Rangoon

Ingredients:
1 pack won ton wrappers (these can be found in the produce section, usually near the packaged salad)
1 brick cream cheese at room temperature (so it's softer and easier to mix)
2TBSP green onion finely chopped
1/4 cup crab meat finely chopped
Oil for frying

Mix the cream cheese, onion and crab meat the place about a tablespoon of the mixture in the center of a won ton wrapper like so (I would recommend only making about 3-4 at a time, by the time I got around to folding the last few of these, the wrappers were cracking because they had dried out)

Then dampen the edges by dipping your finger into water and rubbing it along the edge  (sorry no photos of this) then fold 2 opposite corners and gently press together to seal (the photo quality is horrible, I know!)

Then fold up the other 2 corners so all the corners meet and press the edges together until it is sealed all around.

Fry in batches of 3-4 until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.  I don't have any photos of the final product either because they were eaten so quickly!  I like to dip mine in sweet and sour sauce =)
