I have been busy nothing to say a total bum no excuses for the lack of blogging but I'm back. The last 2 weeks have been relatively uneventful but here's a little recap.
I taught English.
I cooked lots of yummy dinners.
I spent MASSIVE amounts of time hanging out with my awesome neighbors enjoying the beautiful spring weather.
I taught more English.
I spent 2 days in bed trying to sleep off a migraine/PMS.
I ate lots of sushi.
I attended my 1st ever FRG meeting.
I completely FAILED the 52 in 52 challenge.
We found out the company Jason is supposed to be taking command of next month will no longer exist at that time and I had a brief panic attack. We still don't know when/where he will get a command now but we're trying to be patient and believe it's all God's plan for us.
I went to the Dr twice for a rash that covers most of my legs and they (I had 3 Dr's looking at me) were "stumped" both times. They have tentatively diagnosed me with Schamberg disease which basically means I will have this UGLY rash on and off for the rest of my life. At 1st I was grateful that it isn't something worse but the more I think about it the more upset it makes me. Not being able to wear dresses/skirts/shorts without being uncomfortable/embarrassed is crushing my spirits. BAD. None of the Dr's I saw were dermatologists though so I'm still waiting to get a 2nd opinion.
We booked a trip to Taipei over Memorial Day weekend =) I'm a little crushed now that I know this rash won't be gone by then but I'm trying to remain positive. I plan to invest in some new cute maxi dresses before we leave (any recommendations?)!
I guess that's about it. Hopefully this won't be the last time you hear from me for 2 weeks!
sounds like you've been busy! glad to see you're still alive :)
ReplyDeleteHI there, I just came across your blog through a suggestion from my google reader. Fellow mil-spouse and your newest follower! See ya round, looking forward to reading more of your blog.
ReplyDeleteI hope a dermatologist can help you, maybe you were misdiagnosed? I wonder if the sun would help? If you are looking for maxi dresses- the Japanese shops usually carry them. I bought a couple last year at Marue (OIOI) in Vina Walk. Though they may not be "maxi" length for tall girls like you! :) I can't wait to see pictures from your trip, I am jealous!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your diagnoses but I have Schambergs as well and I came across your blog because I'm always researching if anyone has found a cure and I saw your post. I feel the same way as you because I can't wear any shorts, skirts, dresses, etc. I just wanted to let you know that taking Vitamin C and putting Vitamin K cream on your legs can sort of help the rash. You have to stay away from blood thinners because that's how the rash comes back. Those are a few things you can do! Good luck!
