When I first signed up for this challenge, I knew I was venturing far outside of my league as far as fashion goes but I don't think I realized how far out I was. I'm so grateful to be a part of this wonderful group of bloggers to keep me motivated, they're the only thing keeping me motivated and from throwing my hands up in defeat. I love waking up to an inbox full of encouraging and empathetic words from these women! If you haven't already done so, I suggest you check out some of the blogs linked below!
I was on vacation for the duration of week 2 which made this all the more challenging! I forced myself to only pack 30x30 approved clothes, even after discovering some forgotten about spring items while searching for my swimsuit cover-ups. One of the days I didn't put on anything resembling an outfit, I'll discuss the details when I blog about our trip! I made up for it by wearing two different outfits the next day though =}
Here's week 2!
Day 7
A long day of travel requires layers, lots of layers!
Day 8
Enjoying the view from our cabin on the "beach"
Day 9
My husband agreed to take some photos for this challenge but he fails at letting me know when I'm looking like a sloppy mess! I definitely fixed my shirt after I saw this photo...hours later. Oops!
Day 10
Camping near the beach on a remote island required super causal clothes for the day.
Day 11
Do you see that tent in the previous photo...yeah, it was NOT waterproof and it stormed all night long. By morning, we, along with everything we had packed, were drenched. I had one dry set of clothes that I had picked up while traveling and that is what I wore all day.
Day 12.1
These photos are totally not in focus, but it's what I have. These are not the shoes I would have chosen to wear with this dress but after trekking all day in wet shoes I had hot spots and these were the only shoes I had that didn't cause me pain.
I need a belt to add some color and definition to my waist!
Day 12.2
To make up for day 11, I decided to change my clothes before we headed out to dinner.

I'm loving playing with my wardrobe and trying out new combinations...I've made a couple substitutions going into week 3 but I'm still enjoying this adventure!

Impressive that you did this on vacay!! Is that the same cardi in both outfits on day 12? It looks so different with each dress! I hope you had a good time :-)
Love all your dresses, so pretty! I'm kind of sad now that I only picked one.
Love Day 8 with the Polka Dot sweater and green dress!
you are a rockstar for continuing the challenge on your vacay!!! I love the day nine shorts and striped shirt look. Great pairing of both pieces!! I love both your dresses...so pretty!! And I totally agree with layers while traveling!! you never know what's going to happen and the layers can be taken off or added in change of weather. I personally prefer to travle in sweats and a shirt and my Uggs...i know not fashionable, but it's the only situation I choose extreme comfort over fashion hahah
Traveling in a maxi skirt, what a great way to stay comfy and still look classy!
Wow...how you are doing this on vacation I don't know, but GOOD JOB! Even with all the rain...poor thing!
You're awesome! I seriously don't think I could leave for vacation with a limited wardrobe....I always pack 8,000 things because I never know what "mood" I'll be in! Way to go!
P.S. I LOVE that royal blue dress in the last pic....the color and style are amazing!
I am in love with that green dress! I've totally been in the situation where you discover in the middle of the night that a tent is not waterproof . . . aack!
Good for you on keeping up with this during vacation! I dont think I could do that! :) I love your shirt on day 9 even though you said it looks weird I think it looks fine! :)
